Founded in 2007, Fundacion Argentina María Montessori's (FAMM) core focus is on supporting vulnerable communities. We provide nurturing environments for children's growth and support adults through training and professional development. FAMM supports the establishment of prepared environments in such contexts, highlighting transformative outcomes and key lessons. We are committed to supporting children in Argentina as a response to the urgent need for quality early childhood education and care: two-thirds of children reside in vulnerable settings, and only 30% have access to early education.
Since its inception, FAMM has continued strengthening its mission of preparing adults to accompany the child’s integral development and expanding access to Montessori education across Argentina and the region. In 2025 alone, we delivered 16 AMI-certified courses which reached 229 graduates and over 600 participants in workshops and seminars. A major institutional milestone for 2026 is the expansion of our training network across South America, with programs now running not only in Argentina but also in Brazil and Paraguay, strengthening our regional reach.
In terms of impact, FAMM has now contributed to the growth of a Montessori ecosystem of 176 prepared environments across 13 provinces in Argentina, reaching approximately 3,500 children each year. More than half of these initiatives have been launched or are led by FAMM graduates.
At the same time, we continue deepening our public and social impact through partnerships, scholarships, advisory work for new educational projects, and ongoing support for organizations serving vulnerable childhood communities. Looking ahead, our hope is to continue expanding access to high-quality Montessori education, strengthening adult formation, and supporting the creation of new Montessori initiatives throughout the region.
