EsF Workshop Series Part I: Empathic, Nonviolent Communication in Montessori Communities
The workshops will explore how Nonviolent Communication (NVC) can enhance Montessori practice at both the classroom and community levels. This workshop series is designed for Montessori practitioners and advocates seeking to enrich their practice through deeper, more effective communication. Rooted in Montessori principles, this approach supports peaceful conflict resolution, social harmony, and respectful interactions with both children and adults.
The workshop includes presentations, small-group practice, and hands-on exercises, ensuring that participants leave with practical, actionable tools to integrate into their daily interactions with children, colleagues, and parents.
Part I introduces a practical four-step framework for empathic communication that fosters stronger relationships. Special emphasis is placed on developing deep observation skills and focusing on universal human needs and emotions. You’ll learn practical empathic listening techniques that you can apply immediately, helping to transform tensions and disagreements into meaningful connection.
